This Gulf Livery Ford Mustang comes with a complete race livery, a set of Forgestar CF10 wheels, upgraded Brembo brakes, carbon fiber touches, looking impressive
Among the famous liveries, Gulf Livery is one of the most recognizable ones ever produced. The
Gulf livery actually originated with the
Gulf Oil Corporation in 1967, when its then vice president, Grady Davis, decided to enter his own GT40, #1049, as an independent entry at both Daytona and Sebring. The car was finished in the standard
Gulf Oil colors of dark blue with orange trim, and thus, Gulf Livery was born. The history is now the history, but this famous racing livery lives on high-performance machines even today. Particularly ly those coming from the Ford Motor Company.
This Gulf Livery
Ford Mustang comes from Brown Lee Ford out of Nashville, Tennessee. This authorized Ford dealer decided to market the vehicle with a beautiful heritage racing livery, just in time for the release of the Ford vs. Movie. And yes, there's more than the livery about this car.
Under the hood of this American muscle car resides a supercharged 5.0 Liter V8 engine. However, thanks to what the dealer describes as a “3.0 Liter Stage 2” unit that works in tandem with an air-to-water intercooler system, the engine in this Ford Mustang delivers well 808 horsepower and 677 lb-ft (917 Nm) of torque. This beast is available with either the six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic, ensuring owners from both ends of the spectrum can be satisfied with the transmission choice.
In order to make sure that this
Gulf Liveried Mustang will stop as good as it goes, the company has also fitted
Brembo brakes the size of dinner plates, measuring 15.1 inches front and rear. These include six-pot calipers in the front, while four-piston stops the movement in the back. However, it's a set of
Forgestar CF10 wheels that make the exclamation point on this build. For this Ford Mustang, the wheels come
sized 20x9 in the front and 20x11 in the rear. The wheels come with a
Gunmetal finish.
Tires? They’re
Michelin Sport Cup 2s, of course, and come
sized 285/30ZR20 front and 305/30ZR20 rear, ensuring great handling and traction. The final touches on this Gulf Livery Ford Mustang include a carbon fiber front splitter and side sills, but also, several more gulf racing accents across the exterior and interior of the car as well. In all, a well thought through of marketing campaign, resulting in a great looking Ford Mustang, wrapped up with Forgestar CF10 ten-spoke flow-formed wheels.
From what we know, there will be only 119 of these built, so you have to hurry up if you want to get one. You can grab a detailed look at this build in the media gallery right below.
