Thanks to a gorgeous Torch Red exterior paint finish and a set of lightweight Forgestar F14 rotary-formed wheels, this Corvette C8 looks incredible and clean from all angles
The
Chevrolet Corvette C8 is the eight-generation of the much famed American muscle car. Following several experimental CERV prototype vehicles, it is the first mid-engined Corvette since the model's introduction in 1953, marking Chevy's venture into the higher-end of the performance car market. It is powered by a new naturally aspirated 6.2 L V8 engine. It is rated at 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque - an improvement of 40 horsepower and 10 lb-ft (14 Nm) over the outgoing
C7 Corvette Stingray.
This is the first vehicle that comes without a manual transmission Corvette option from
Chevrolet in decades. The manual was dropped due to a lack of customer demand, though structural concerns were cited as well. The only other model years not offered with a manual transmission were the 1953–1954 C1 and the 1982 C3. In the Corvette C8, the engine is utilized in sync with an 8-speed dual-clutch automated transmission made by Tremec, which utilizes paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
Performance-wise, the C8 Corvette is a beast. The carmaker claims that the C8 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 2.9 seconds when equipped with the optional Z51 package. However, when Car and Driver tested it, they recorded a time of 2.8 seconds. Pretty damn fast, whatever you may say. In turn, this makes the Chevrolet Corvette C8 a perfect foundation for an aftermarket build.
This Torch Red Corvette C8 is a beauty. It features one of the most compelling paint finishes available for this vehicle, making it look even more gorgeous than usual. However, it's the addition of
Forgestar F14 rotary-formed wheels that sets it apart. This Corvette features wheels in
sizes of 20x9 and 20x12 in the front and rear, respectively. Furthermore, the wheels come with a gorgeous
Gloss Anthracite finish, giving them a nice finishing touch.
